This was my first attempt at coloring one of my drawings, I'm still teaching myself how.

I dislike fat dwarves. When I draw dwarves I tend to gravitate towards a lean solid stocky look versus a fat, drunk, Scottsman. As a roleplayer I never understood how dwarves, looking the way some artist illustrate them (fat), could accomplish physical feats in a game. I try to get my pencil around it somehow.

"You're worriors be proud."

I agree with what you stated in the descriptor of this piece of art you have so magnificently created. Dwarfs are short and stocky and spend all their time in mine's digging out precious stones and metal or pounding it out on an anvil, Their lifestyle dictates that they would be nothing but sheer muscle. That in mind i tend to draw them a bit "fatter" then you and take the whole "Kingpin" physiology into thought. If you create them too lean they tend to look like "Short Humans". Great piece you have created though. I love all your dwarven pictures, there isn't enough dwarves on DA in my opinion.

This has got to be one of the best dwarves I've seen on DeviantArt. Now that I look at it a second time though, I'm reminded strongly of the poses on HeroMachine. Do you use that as a basis? I say basis, because I strongly doubt HeroMachine is capable of producing art this amazing!

Thank you kindly.
I don't know what hero machine is. Everything I draw is by hand, then I scan it in and do the color work. Sometimes I use my stylus, however I never draw with it.
I appreciate your comment, thanks again.

Hero Machine is a program that enables those who are talentless at drawing (like myself), to design pictures of heroic characters, whether it be a superhero, barbarian warrior or a monster. I only asked because the character is in a pose that the program uses. That you draw it all from scratch is a testament to your skill! And again, one of the best dwarves I've ever seen!

Well thanks, maybe you should speak to some gaming companies for me. :)
I hate pink, it was a joke.

I can't make any promises. ;)

And I'm aware it was a joke. I was just playing along. Though now I want to play a big, burly fighter dude who wears pink!
